It all started when…
I was at a concert, living the party life style having fun but no real direction in life, just enjoying the moment. I remember feeling unable to dance and express my self the way the music was moving me. At that time I was overweight unhappy & depressed I did not know what to do. It was new years eve and as cheesy as it sounds I knew that something had to change. So my new years resolution was to get more flexible. At that moment I decided I had two options 1.Take yoga or 2.Ballet both had very flexible people and I believed that to be the key to my happiness. I thought yoga was lame and I could never see my self as one of those long haired hippies chanting in a dark room singing songs (Ha) So I enrolled in Dance Classes at Irvine Valley College and my journey into health & wellness began.
I studied dance in college with prominent dance teachers such as Marie Del La Palme, Raul Cruz, Miriam & Leonardo Barrionuevo to name a few. I soon found myself in a yoga class because my dance teachers wanted me to get me even more flexible. After my first yoga class I fell in LOVE with the way it made me feel. The spiritual, calming and meditative aspect of yoga was something I never experienced before I was hooked. After practicing for 4 years I Enrolled & I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Corepoweryoga in 2014. After teaching over 1,000 hours I am became an E-RyT yoga instructor in 2017. I continue my practice daily I believe its the key to my sustained happiness.
